I use an SPS30 particulate sensor to get PM1//4/10 on an ESPHome (ESP8266) that I''m pretty happy with as well. ESPHome supports several different options for particulate that are very cost effective (and CO2, VOC, etc). DIY with ESPHome is inexpensive and a good project. level 2.
